what causes red wine vinegar to appear cloudy?
the bottle of red wine vinegar has been opened for maybe 6 weeks and stored in a cool place, but it has a cloudy appearance.
The cloudy appearance is natural sediment in the bottle. Vinegar is created with a strain of bacteria called “the mother” Sometimes it continues to live in the bottle and leaves behind sediment. I know it sounds gross but it really is a beautiful thing!
