Best Red Wine

What would be the best Red wine just for drinkin? Not with a meal?

Something that isnt to bitter. I have tried the Robert Mondavi Merlot and it wasnt bad but was a little bitter but over all not bad.

I think Pinot Noir is the best “just drinking” wine there is – whether it is from Central CA, Northern CA, Oregon, Burgundy, wherever. I’d suggest looking for one with a lower alcohol content to help keep that burn feeling away. Some of the CA Pinots get close to 15% and those get tough to drink. See if you can find something in the low 13% range.
