Boy With a Coin by Iron and Wine?

i love this song!! but do any of you have an idea what the lyrics mean?
“A boy with a coin he found in the weeds
With bullets and pages of trade magazines
Close to a car that flipped on the turn
When God left the ground to circle the world

A girl with a bird she found in the snow
Then flew up her gown and that’s how she knows
That God made her eyes for crying at birth
Then left the ground to circle the Earth

A boy with a coin he crammed in his jeans
Then making a wish he tossed in the sea
Walked to a town that all of us burn
When God left the ground to circle the world”

Like.. Is it kind of blaming God for the disasters on Earth? Or what?
no homework during Winter Break^_^

Ask the song writer; they may know. Often I find that the writer had too much wine to know and the only answer is what you think it is. Personally, it sounds more to me that the “bad” things happen when God is not around at a particular place, but off somewhere else, but I do not believe that. Be wary of what other people write and don’t spend too much time searching for meaning in songs.

P.S. You will be happier if you listen to happier songs.

More definitive than ever, the rhythm and percussion complement Beam’s voice, a lulling…
