National Wine And Spirits

How do I get a national brand of product to sponsor my event?
Who do I contact?
How much do you think they’d be willing to share free product?
I’m talking mainly liqours, beers, wine and spirits.
Older folks stuff
It all depends on how many people you have attending your event.
Basically if you have a small, local event with a fair sized attendance (up to a couple of thousand people say), you may well be able to get a local distributer interested. After all, the distributor has a vested interest in being seen locally by people.
If, on the other hand, your event is large and draws upwards of 10,000 people or more you start to get to a point that may interest a regional sponsor – the opportunity for large-scale tastings or sales is the motive here. The regional or national advertiser can justify the expense as a local event, but only if it’s big enough.
Remember, whether small and local or big and national, an advertiser isn’t interested in helping you out. They’re interested only in getting their products seen by as many of the people they want to buy them.
Now, you mention “older folks stuff.” I have no idea what that means. If you mean “older folks” as in people older than you but who are no older than 40 or 45, then you’re fine. But if you’re talking about seriously older people, as in grandma and grandpa geriatrics, then you’re out of luck. Folks of that age aren’t considered a viable advertising target for several reasons – 1) not enough money, 2) too set in their brand preferences to switch, and 3) not sexy enough to encourage brand switching among other consumers (basically, advertisers don’t want to be seen with them).
That’s just the way things are.
