How to get a red wine stain out of a butcher block counter?
Huge red wine stain, cleaned up almost instantly…on a 6 foot solid maple butcher block counter…sniff…sniff

I like Wine Away and Mostenbockers Food and Beverage Stain Remover. Both are non-toxic and biodegradeable, safe for use around food. Mostenbockers is usually found in the laundry aisle in drug and discount stores (Wal-Mart) And Wine Away is at Cost Plus and kitchen stores (Bed Bath & Beyond or Linen and Things.) Let either soak into the wood and you’ll see the stain turn blue first (don’t panic) then eventually disappear. You may want to seal the wood with Butcher Block safe paste to prevent future stains (Linen and Things has a good one).
