Red Wine Stains

I got red wine stains on my cotton sweater how do I get them out?

I spilled red wine all over my favorite AE cotton sweater and I need to know how to get the stains out if at all possible???
the sweater is pink in color

ASAP, soak it in White Wine until the red wine is completely gone. Then immediately soak it in club soda overnight (or 24 hours) to get out the white wine. Then wash in cold water, no soap.
